School Days !!

This Story is about the time when I was in school, I think in 7th or 8th standard. Asking people to fill in your slam book was very common at that time. Since everyone around was into it, I also decided to buy one for me. i did that and since my destructive mind never runs the same way, I decided to take their views in couple formation - like a boy and a girl who are in a relationship or being associated with him/her.

Among all the columns in the slam book, there was a column which says " Which is the most embarrassing moment in your life?" It wasn't intentional but it happened. I didn't know the meaning of embarrassment at that time, and the strange part was that nobody other as well :D. My friends came to me and asked me - what does it means? I thought if I said I dont know, bahut insult ho jayegi yaar, so just to maro style in front of them that I know the meaning, I said it means the most proud moment of your life as I never had this in mind that slam books do have questions asking about the embarrassing part and stuff.
Believe me lolz, I still have that slam book I think and people wrote the stuff like -

Most embarrasing moment

- My Parents
- When I met my bf for the first time
- My Friends

hahahaha...... how can we forget those days with such amazing memories. I still go crazy when I sit alone and think about those moments, they were really special. Miss them loads.

We Are Indians - Can We Say It Proudly

Yet another incidence of my life, its really funny but at the same time it left a question and a doubt in my mind. It is about the day I bought a car. 2 days later, all the four alloys of my car got stolen. I was angry, annoyed, disappointed and wasn't getting how to react as I haven't taken the feel of my new drive yet and this happened.

I called up at 100 and was wondering if I can get any clue about the guyz who did it but the funny story started after the arrival of so called Indian Police...........
I was standing beside my car and their first question was - is it your car? I said Yes, its mine. OK
So at what time you parked your car yesterday - I answered that. I was expecting some positive words like we will try to sort things, or will catch the people behind this asap but their reply was - its better to forget about the tyres now, LOL, ain't its funny!!

I was like what? They said it with so much simplicity that I feel like why I am troubling these guyz by asking them to locate the thieves and get my car tyres. They said, we know the place where you can get your alloys, we know the people who have done it but we cant help you as we have no proof to arrest them. Ok, so is it my job to look out for proofs and get them arrested. At that time I felt like these people are even more miserable than me coz I don't know who did this otherwise I would have done something and these guyz whom we rely upon and say - they are here to protect us looks so miserable just for a simple theft case - cant digest it.

After having a 15-20 mins discussion with them, one thing they assured me is that I will not get my alloys back. So I thought its better to forget about it now. Then after, my friends asked me to go for insurance claim. I called up the insurance agent and told him the story. He said we need a copy of F.I.R to prove the company that this has happened. Again, I went to the Police Station, talked to same person about F.I.R and their answer was, we can give you D.D.R but not F.I.R as in that case they actually have to answer why didn't they searched for the tyres and if they did then what were the reasons that they were unable to locate the people behind it. Again, I wasn't getting what to do next as their normal style of talking is like if you ask them for once mo9re they gonna put you behind the bars, hahaha!!! Belive me, they are very much capable of doing that.......:D

I decided to come back as by this time I made myself understood that its all in vain now and nothing can happen. Suddenly, one of the person came to me and said " You want a copy of F.I.R?" I said "Yes" I do. He replied - ok I will get that for you but in return you have to pay Rs.2000 for it. hahahhaa ...lol, I was like what the F***. They all know what has happened yet they are asking me to pay 2000 bucks to give F.I.R which is my right and their duty. Oopssss.......
Did I said something about "Rights and Duties" my apologies - I forgot that this is my India. Ok, I paid them 2000 bucks, got a copy of F.I.R and in return also got some 5-6K bucks from insurance claim.

After all this, I was left with a single thought, its ok the way they treated me when I was in trouble, by God sake, I was in a position to pay them the ransom they asked for - but what about the people who are in miseries and can't pay them. What about their security? What they do when they suffer even severe problems than what I did? I seriously feel sorry when all these thoughts went around my mind, as majority of the people know this but the only thing is that - WHO CARES, not even me unless I went through it. So, just a general question to all my friends, can we do anything about it ??

Mixed Emotions..........Vol 1

This blog is all about my experiences in the last company. I am not writing it to take out my frustration on anyone, in fact its all about what I feel as I still think that I would have done better. I really want to thank the top management for showing so much of trust in my ability, accepting and appreciating strategies I gave and freedom to speak. In fact, working under the guidance of someone who has been into this industry for over a decade and getting to know her valuable insights, the way she thinks, the way she strategize, the way she plan things out, is something I will always cherish and try to acquire the best I can.

Initial six months, I explored things, made strategies, handled social media projects and every thing went very smoothly. I always wanted to give my level best and prove that I am here to stay and grow.

Everything went so good and I was recognized as the most promising new comer. Believe me, it was unexpected but at the same time, it gave me so much energy and strength to move forward and a psi of relief that management knows how much I am putting in. I was completely motivated to do wonders for the organization as I know myself and I never run away from responsibilities, what may-ever it takes.

I never disclosed it to anyone but I knew this thing that Social Media is not at its best in this company and I joined with the dream to reach the heights and bring this organization to the top at least in Chandigarh when it comes to Social Media Marketing. Me and Pankaj (My Friend) have always put in our best to keep ourselves updated with the latest techniques and trends in Social Media and we know that if we work together, we wont let any organization suffer what so ever it takes then. We got a chance to work together in this organization as well but the journey didn't went the way I perceived.

Were we irresponsible? Or we took things very lightly? Or something else? I still don't know the reason why and where we lack.......

One thing I always wanted to say is the lack of transparency between the top management and the teams. I think, there was a mismatch somewhere in between what client needs and what gets conveyed to the teams or it does not gets communicated at all unless you get some harsh words or pressure from the client side. I still remember the day, where I didn't even know the client name, project name, and I was asked to say yes to every activity which I never did. I did accordingly in the meeting and my experience was:

Client - Are we on Twitter?
Me - Yes
Client - Why are we not doing updates?
Me - We are, but in intervals, not regularly
Client - When you did last?
Me - ........................(No Answer)
Client - Please open the Twitter account
Me - ........................( Don't even know the UN & PSW)
Client - 3 updates in 4 months ( and all 3 were in the very first month)
Client - What you have to say?
Me - ..........................

there were few other questions thrown at me which I don't want to disclose here.

and after this discussion she moved towards the PPC part and then only i got my breath back. All I want to say here is that it takes a lot to get a project in and we need to take it that seriously to make it grow which wasn't the case. I understand that everyone may have put in the best of their efforts at their times and now they are just reaping the benefits of being in that position, no offenses to that, but if we are doing it at the cost of projects, Is it right?
